Each year, the Dinagyang festival in Iloilo City is filled with competitions and shows to fill your 3-day itinerary. Richmonde Hotel Iloilo is one place that puts you close to all these, but it also offers something unique: the cuisine.
No matter how busy your schedule may be, one should always make time to sample authentic Ilonggo dishes.
That’s why, aside from special rates, Richmonde Hotel Iloilo will also feature the best of the city’s traditional food fare. For just one special night guests can reserve seats for the “Tabu-an sa Dinagyang,” heritage dinner buffet. This event features the heirloom dishes of Iloilo’s premier chef, Rafael “Tibong” Jardeleza.
Chef Tibong is a staunch advocate of preserving and promoting Ilonggo cuisine, and has been featured in countless media. His aim is to educate the public on the true identity of Iloilo food beyond the usual batchoy, pancit molo, and KBL.
Expect to be wowed by Chef Tibong’s specialties like Roasted Lamb, Lechon, Lengua con Setas Oliva, Tenderloin Steak, and many more.
Richmonde’s very own Chef Jeffrey Ticao and his kitchen team will also showcase delectable treats. These include Kinilaw na isda, Paella Negra, Paella Valenciana, Pancit Guisado, Almondigas and various street foods.
“Tabu-an sa Dinagyang” is presented in partnership with San Miguel Beer and happens on January 26, 2019. The dinner will run from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at the hotel’s pool deck area in the 7th floor.
Tickets to the dinner buffet are priced at PHP 2,000 per person, and already include bottles of San Mig Light Beer and bottomless lemonade. What’s more, you can also catch the Festive Mall fireworks happening at 9:00pm. Finally, enjoy the music spun by DJ Enzo of FatBoiDJs as you indulge in the sumptuous dinner feast.
